Don’t worry, Kat Graham isn’t leaving The Vampire Diaries (as of now) — but she IS expanding her creative pallet in the form of an AH-Mazing new single!!
Her new song 1991 definitely takes us back to a simpler time with an old school beat reminiscent of TLC. She even lays down a rap verse!

The songstress took to Big Morning Buzz on VH1 to perform her single, but not before host Nick Lachey got her to speak about co-star Nina Dobrev‘s announcement of her departure from TVD.
The 25-year-old had this to say:
“It’s very bittersweet. We’re all family, and you always want to stay together forever, but everyone has their journey, and all you can do is wish them well and support them. This was a decision that I know was made a long, long time ago. I’m just excited for her, and to see what’s next.”
Kat’s journey would thereafter include one high energy rooftop performance of 1991 — which she SLAYED!!
