Soo, guess we can’t cross off a Kate Beckinsale and Matt Rife reconciliation on our 2025 bingo card just yet?
The pair, who dated way back in 2017, were said to have been kissing at a steamy Golden Globes after party on Sunday night, but now the actress’s rep is quickly trying to clear the air! Speaking to People on Tuesday, Kate’s team member urged:
“It is incorrect that they were kissing.”
So, what was going on?

We mean, several Page Six sources claimed to have seen them getting cozy at Netflix‘s Spago bash. Sure, one of those insiders claimed they were just being “friendly exes” and “having some funny conversations,” but it’s hard to see how a convo gets mixed up with locking lips, y’know?
Well, Kate’s rep seems to be on the exact same page as that second source because they simply insisted:
“They are friendly exes who were having a fun time speaking.”
Alright then. There’s no denying they were catching up, but we guess sparks aren’t flying just yet. Or that’s what they want us to believe anyway. We’ll see if this late-night run-in leads to any more rumors in the future…
