Kate Gosselin has a BRUTAL response to her estranged son Collin‘s memoir announcement!
As we’ve been covering, Collin is coming out with a tell-all set to hit bookshelves in October. In it, he promises to unveil the dark secrets of his childhood for the first time, including detailing abuse allegations at the hands of his famous mother.

It’s no secret that the two have been estranged for many years, ever since the Kate Plus 8 matriarch put him in a mental health institution as a young kid. In the past, Collin has touched on the alleged abuse in various interviews. He even sat for a new one on Saturday on Strange McKnights‘ YouTube channel, in which he continued to make allegations of mistreatment. So sure of his allegations, he even urged Kate to take a lie detector test — and said he’d take one at the same time to finally get the full truth out there. Whoa!

On Monday, the 51-year-old reality star shared a new TikTok video about her rescue dog. She didn’t say anything about Collin in the video, but her comments were flooded with mentions of the drama… and Kate did share where her head’s at with it all!
One person wrote:
“If you are 100% certain that the accusations against you are lies, my suggestion would be to take him to court and sue him for defamation!”
Breaking her silence, Kate replied:
“I can’t bc I’m a public figure. Rules are different unfortunately. Or I def would!”
Jeez.
In a follow-up comment, she made it clear she’s looked into legal retaliation in the past!
“The rules are different for ppl in the public eye. I consulted a high power LA attorney (you’ve definitely heard of him) years ago when other ppl were putting crazy stuff out there and that’s what he said. The courts don’t honor it if you’re in the public eye :(.”

If she can’t take legal action, it makes us wonder what lengths Kate will go to hit back at the allegations once the book is out?? Surely, she won’t sit back and do nothing if she’s explored these kinds of options, right? Oof.
Collin has every right to share his story… We’re just sorry it comes with this kind of reaction from his mother!
