Would you steal something from Kensington Palace? Camila Cabello did!!

While chatting with BBC Radio 1 host Greg James on Tuesday, it was revealed the songstress was “triple doggy dared” to steal something from Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s residence while they were visiting in October for an event honoring inspirational UK teens.

The Living Proof songstress warned the radio host:

“Don’t tell anybody what my mother and I did.”

But her begging couldn’t stop him! James revealed:

“We’re in Kensington Palace for the teen heroes. We’re about to meet William and Kate, and I said, ‘You’ve got to steal something. Steal something!’ And I said, ‘Steal that pencil.'”

Cabello recalled:

“I was like, ‘You triple doggy dare me?’ … And you can’t not do a triple doggy dare. If there’s anything I’ve learned in my life, it’s that. So, I did it.”

She continued:

“I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’ And I put it in my mom’s purse, and my mom was like, ‘No, we have to give it back. We have to give back the pencil.’ And I was like, ‘No, he triple doggy dared me. I have to take the pencil.’ So, I still have it. I’m sorry, William, and I’m sorry, Kate. I honestly couldn’t sleep that night. I had to get it off my chest.”

LMAO!!

But the pencil-snatching doesn’t seem to bother the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge too much! After tweeting out a clip of the hilarious interview, Kensington Palace’s Twitter account replied with the eyes emoji:

The parents of three welcomed 10 finalists from the BBC Radio 1 Teen Heroes Awards along with Cabello, James, and fellow host Clara Amfo, sharing to their Instagram:

“This is the fourth consecutive year that Radio 1’s Teen Heroes have been honoured with an invitation to the Palace. The ten finalists were greeted by The Duke and Duchess, who praised them for their inspirational work and their dedication to helping others.”

The former Fifth Harmony member shared with BBC at the time:

“I was so honored to be invited to Kensington Palace to meet and celebrate this year’s Teen Hero finalists with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Hearing the incredible things these Teen Heroes have done is so inspirational! Their passion and dedication to help others is amazing and they really blew me away!”
