Proud momma Katherine Schwarzenegger is basking in her new baby bliss!
As we reported earlier this week, the 30-year-old Gift of Forgiveness author welcomed her first child with husband Chris Pratt, a daughter named Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. One day after blessing us with a glimpse of their newborn (above, inset), the happy couple is said to be doing well at home with their bundle of joy and surrounded by family support.

A source told People that “everyone is doing well” and there’s been nothing but good vibes since the baby’s arrival:
“They haven’t left their house since they returned home from the hospital. They just want to bond with the baby and get to know her. They have some help and Maria [Shriver] also makes sure they have everything they need. Lyla is adorable.”
Awww, love to hear it! Shriver and ex Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly came to visit “as soon as Kat and the baby got home from the hospital” and “they are both proud grandparents, of course.”
The insider said that while Miz Schwarzenegger is no doubt exhausted after her pregnancy, she “has the best attitude” about raising Lyla because her husband has already set such a great example with his 7-year-old son Jack Pratt, whom he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris. The source noted:
“She is obviously still tired, but she loves being a mom. She is so positive and excited about the whole experience. She loves seeing Chris with their girl. He is such a good dad. This was one of the things that Kat was attracted to from the beginning: Chris loves being a dad. Kat feels very lucky that Lyla gets to grow up with Chris as a dad.”
Nice. With Pratt’s expertise, these two are going to knock parenthood out of the park together! A different source said the 41-year-old Jurassic World star and his lovely wife “knew they were having a girl” for some time and “were thrilled about it.” Sharing more details about the new momma’s postpartum recovery, the confidant added:
“Kat had a good pregnancy, and she is hoping for a quick recovery — so far, so good. She is going through all the first-time-mom emotions. She is extremely happy but a bit tired and overwhelmed.”
Luckily, doting daddy Chris is more than happy to usher her through the challenges that come with being a first-time parent:
“It’s comforting for Kat that he is already a dad and understands how it is to have a newborn.”
