She won’t be telling Jesus to suck it this year!
Kathy Griffin, a two-time infamous Emmy winner, has been asked to host the 2009 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
For the last few years, Kathy has been the talk of the less publicized version of the Emmys with her outrageous speeches and antics. And, now, the network is pretty much giving her an open forum!
The show’s producer, Spike Jones Jr. says, “We’re thrilled as Kathy’s the first Emmy winner to host the Creative Arts show. She stole the show the last two years, so now, we’re giving her the opportunity to officially hijack it. We’re all very, very excited. And just a little bit scared.”
The show will actually be telecast as a two-hour special on E!, so we’ll all get to enjoy whatever Kathy decides to let out of her mouth. (Or into it, depending on who’s there.)
