When Joan Rivers unexpectedly passed away, one of the questions that was constantly asked was who would replace the late comedienne on Fashion Police.
But according to Kathy Griffin, she already knew who would fill Joan’s shoes: herself.

In fact, in a recent interview with PrideSource, the funny gal revealed she and the former host would continuously joke about death and the TV series.
Kathy revealed to the interviewer:
“Besides the fact that she literally said it to me at dinner one time? I mean, we used to talk about death all the time, which is very common for comedians. It might sound macabre, but we talked about everything under the sun, and we would joke about everything, and nothing was ever off-limits and nothing was ever off the table. She did, in fact, make all these jokes (about), ‘If anything happened to me…’ She would say, ‘If Jennifer Lawrence ever kills me, you should take over Fashion Police,’ and I would say, ‘If Demi Lovato ever kills me, you can take over my one-nighter at such-and-such center.’ Stuff like that.”
LOLz! What funny conversations to have!
We all know Joan really did mean that. Especially since Melissa personally called Kathy to ask her to fill Joan’s empty spot.

But the bigger question is, will Kathy be able to stay on the show long enough??
Girlfriend says she’s going to push boundaries:
“I mean, Fashion Police is gonna be – I’m gonna try to get fired, let’s face it. I’m gonna try to say something so heinous I get fired – same with any talk-show appearance – but honestly, the live experience, it’s the one place you can’t get fired.”
Well, we have a feeling Kathy is going to be on Fashion Police for a while!
Joan definitely pushed the limit when she criticized celebrities and their choice of fashion, so why wouldn’t the 54-year-old be able to?!
