It turns out Katie Maloney doesn’t come from the “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” school of thought. LOLz!!
The Vanderpump Rules star took to Instagram over the weekend to share a surprising message about her ex-husband Tom Schwartz‘s rumored live-in girlfriend Jo Wenberg. And Katie is linking it back to the still-shocking affair Schwartz’s BFF Tom Sandoval was recently discovered having with fellow Bravo-lebrity Raquel Leviss!!

On Saturday, a VPR fan account posted a series of pics and videos to Instagram. The carousel centered on Kristen Doute‘s longtime (and now former) best friend Wenberg. She’s a hairstylist who started hanging out with Schwartz (and sometimes living with him) in the middle of last year.
Of course, back on Friday, we covered Doute’s very deep podcast conversation with Nick Viall. In that chat, the ex-VPR star explained her perspective on Scandoval, her defense of Ariana Madix, and another thousand details about how the whole affair situation has gone down.
But Doute also spoke very briefly during that Viall Files appearance about her ex-friendship with Wenberg. She reflected on how Jo spent time hanging out with Schwartz, Sandoval, and Leviss last summer. Knowing what the world knows now about the affair and Raquel, Kristen theorized Wenberg and Schwartz were double dating with Sandoval and Leviss at the time.
So with that context all cleared up, Saturday’s IG carousel from that fan account dug a little deeper into Wenberg’s possible romantic connection to Schwartz. And hours after it was posted, Schwartz’s ex delivered her own jaw-dropping take on “Girl Jo.”
In a comment written on the fan post, Katie called out Jo for supposedly being “spooky,” and having “crackhead” energy:
“Jo is spooky. I mean none of us could stand to be around her. Her energy is on par with a crackhead.”
Maloney went on to explain an exchange she allegedly had with Jo right after announcing her divorce from Schwartz last year:
“But when tom and I announced our divorce almost a year ago the last thing she text me was ‘Bieber loves you / I love you, and I’m so supporting of your inner thoughts and and visions / live in the moment, you’re a gem and l’ve always respected you. I love you. Xo Jo.’ She is a psycho and I will also light her on fire with Rachel [Raquel]”
Wow!!
That definitely sounds shady AF. To go from that supportive post-divorce text message to this crackhead callout in a few months’ time… Yeesh!

Of course, this all comes back to Scandoval. By Katie and Kristen’s own admissions, Jo didn’t start hanging out with Schwartz until a while after Maloney split from him, so there’s no infidelity issue there. However, the VPR universe has been really interested in learning what Schwartz knew about Sandoval and Leviss’ affair — and when he knew it. After all, if this foursome was effectively going on double dates months ago, that would be shady AF!!!
For his part, Schwartz has consistently kept Jo at arm’s length, at least publicly. Back in February, he said this to Us Weekly about the up-and-coming hairstylist:
“Jo is a badass hairstylist. … I think she’s a beautiful soul. We’re not living together and we’re not dating either, but she’s just someone who I appreciate on a deep level and she’s a really cool human being, and we’re just hanging out.”
Hmmm…
This affair aftermath is rolling into a presidential-style political scandal!! What did Schwartz know and when did he know it? Did he conspire with Sandoval to cover up the cheating??
