The good news is, the awkwardness won’t go on too much longer…
Ever since Michael Strahan hit Kelly Ripa with a surprise left — that he was leaving LIVE! to permanently cohost Good Morning America — things haven’t been totally smooth.
So it was probably a good call for ABC to go ahead and replace Michael now rather than all the way in September as initially planned.

But when the cohosts tried to announce Strahan’s sendoff show on Friday the 13th, things got a little awkward with the studio audience.
First the boos, then someone yelled, “We still love you, Kelly!” Um, it’s Michael that’s leaving…
