Oh, Kendall, Kendall! Wherefore art thou, Kendall Jenner??
A plethora of gorgeous models walked the runway at Tuesday night’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show, including Bella Hadid, her sister Gigi Hadid, and others like Adriana Lima, Tyra Banks, Kate Moss, and Ashley Graham, to name but a few. But fans were quick to point out some MAJOR omissions — including Kylie Jenner‘s older sister!
Kendall was completely AWOL from the high-profile runway show, and fans want the reason(s). And other fans, not wanting to wait for a definitive answer from somebody in the know, were content to spread conspiracies about her absence!

Remember, Kenny has walked in VS shows before — including 2015, 2016, and 2018, as you can see in inset pictures (above). She was a mainstay for a looooong time! So, to not see her on Tuesday was an out-of-body experience for longtime followers of her runway achievements!
Before the show itself could even end, over on X (Twitter), fans began pondering the curious case of the vanishing KarJenner. Some plainly noted:
“Where’s Kendall?”
“kendall jenner wasn’t even there, yet she was still one of the most talked about”
“Kendall Jenner is the highest-paid model in the world for a reason: she is remembered and mentioned in shows she wasn’t even considered for, and that’s what brands love.”
That last one isn’t a bad point…
Oh, and all sorts of theories came right along with it!! Some X users pontificated that perhaps she was out because of contractual issues with brands like L’Oréal and Tommy Hilfiger:
“Kendall is modeling for L’Oréal and Tommy Hilfiger now.”
“Maybe her contract with L’Oreal excludes her from participating in the show?”
Others theorized on her possibly being “too anxious” to take part in the televised event, as one X user wrote. Another added:
“Maybe she felt a little overwhelmed and decided to opt out.”
That theory isn’t totally out of left field. As you may recall, Kris Jenner‘s daughter spoke to Vogue back in 2021 about suffering from crippling anxiety since she was a little kid. And then recently, in August, she got super candid about how her modeling career has been affected by those bouts with anxiety.
But her absence this week wasn’t due to anxiety fights. Nor was it because of a L’Oréal-related ban, or a Tommy Hilfiger hold! It was actually due to… Calvin Klein!
As you will no doubt recall, Kenny has been in some super high-profile CK campaigns in recent months! And according to People, her contract with that brand bans her from walking the runway for competitors like Victoria’s Secret! Hence her absence on Tuesday night!! (BTW, that outlet reports Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, and other ex-Angels skipped the show for similar contractual reasons, too.)
