Kendrick Lamar Releases BRAND NEW Surprise Album -- At The Request Of LeBron James! Get All The Deets!

Who knew the NBA star had such a hold on the music industry?!
Fresh off his Grammys win, Kendrick Lamar decided to pull a Beyoncé and dropped a surprise album on Friday!
The brand new album untitled unmastered features previously unreleased songs that didn’t make the cut for his Grammy-winning To Pimp A Butterfly.

The eight-track album was released on iTunes, Google Play, Tidal, and Spotify. K.Dot shared the news on his Twitter, writing:

And according to Top Dawg Entertainment head Anthony Tiffith, fans can thank none other thank LeBron James for the release of the tracks!
It all started a few weeks ago, when the Cleveland Cavaliers player asked Tiffith for the release of Kendrick’s tracks after watching his powerful performance at the Grammys:

And right before untitled unmastered dropped, the music exec told fans to thank the athlete for the album’s release, sharing on his Instagram:
