Kerry Washington was rightfully named one of Vanity Fair‘s best-dressed women of the year, but that doesn’t mean she’s never gotten it wrong.
At the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy Nominee Reception in North Hollywood on Tuesday, the Scandal star was unfortunately not at the top of her game.
Kerry was a bit too saccharine in a fully tiered, bright pink Halston Heritage dress that not only did nothing for her figure, but also resembled a bad 80s prom dress.
That’s never something to aspire to!
Moreover, the white pumps and white Nancy Gonzalez clutch were slightly jarring against the pink of the dress.
Her jewelry, including Joan Hornig earrings, was really tasteful, however!
And we bet the actress will redeem herself at the Emmys this Sunday! You know we’ll be watching!
