Kerry Washington may have pissed off Harvey Weinstein with her Oscar gown choice on Sunday.
The Hollywood producer’s wife Georgina Chapman, co-founder of Marchesa, made a custom dress especially for the Django Unchained actress, but did she wear it? NOPE!
At the last minute, Kerry pulled an Anne Hathaway and decided to go with her coral Miu Miu gown instead.
According to one fashion insider, Washington could have screwed herself over with the swap, saying:
“Isn├óΓé¼Γäót it career kamikaze to upset Harvey├óΓé¼Γäós wife on such an important night?”
It may have been bad form, especially since it was custom, but Kerry was only there to present. And besides, there were plenty of other ladies on the red carpet who did Marchesa justice, so the night wasn’t a complete loss.
