If anyone can pull off purple and green, it’s Kerry Washington!
The actress hosted the 2014 Allstate Foundation’s Purple Purse Program in New York last night, which is a program that provides assistance to victims of financial domestic violence.
Kerry also designed the purple purse she is seen holding in the photo (above) to symbolically represent financial freedom to victims.
She explained:
“The purple purse is really a symbol for the economic strength of a woman to be able to take her purse strings back and take care of herself and her family. So it’s really exciting because it’s bringing attention around financial abuse.”
The 37-year-old made the square clutch the focal point of her outfit, which also included purple pumps that matched the purse, and a striking Alexander McQueen green leather strapless dress.
Love the unusual color combo! And love that Kerry supports such an important cause!
