Honestly, when Khloe Kardashian blames Lamar Odom‘s drug addiction ‘disease’ for their failing marriage, it’s not exactly new info — we could all see it happening! We hadn’t assumed it was anything OTHER than the drugs, except maybe the alleged affairs as well.
But maybe she’s lumping the affairs into his addictions?
The good news is that Lamar is promising to take voluntary drug tests at any time to prove he’s getting sober, but we feel like that’s a dangerous game without professional help!
According to a source close to them, they’re:
“on a path that will likely end up in a reconciliation. Lamar has volunteered to undergo random drug tests anytime that Khloe requests. The drastic maneuver impressed Khloe, but she is still is very concerned that Lamar has refused to go to rehab.
Lamar has also stopped hanging out with his shady drug friends, and has cut off all contact with them. There was a time when Khloe would call Lamar and he wouldn’t call her back for hours, or even days, as he would disappear on drug binges.”
According to the source, Lamar’s no longer incommunicado! They continued:
“Now, whenever Khloe calls him, Lamar almost always answers the phone, and if he doesn’t, he calls her back right away. Lamar is doing everything possible to try and get his marriage back on track.”
Also, we’re hearing that they’re actively working on their marriage too — we’re talking secret dates, meetings, etc.!
The source added this:
“Khloe is often dropped off by her assistant because they are truly trying to work on their marriage out of the spotlight. Lamar has spent the night with Khloe in their Tarzana mansion, but he hasn’t moved back in, yet.
“Khloe was never just going to give up on Lamar. She knows this is a disease, and Lamar wouldn’t have cheated on her had it not been for his addiction. No pun intended, but the ball was in Lamar’s court, and he has stepped up and is trying to do the right thing.”
We really do wish him and her the best — if they can salvage what they had, if they can move past it and still find happiness with each other, well, we hope that happens!
He’s just on thin ice from here on out, that’s for sure! But redemption is NOT out of the question!
