Khloé Kardashian went through SO much for Lamar Odom.
In this week’s episode of The Kardashians on Hulu, the Good American founder addresses an extremely dark time in the former LA Lakers star’s life: the drug overdose that nearly killed him. If you don’t remember, Lamar overdosed at a brother in Nevada in 2015 and was clinging to life in the hospital for MONTHS after — with his then-estranged wife by his side the whole time despite her divorce efforts. In the new episode, the former athlete claims he didn’t consciously take drugs with the intention of causing an overdose, which Khloé further explained in a confessional:
“What Lamar is trying to say is when he went to the brothel he didn’t take drugs and he doesn’t recall taking them. I think it is a fact that he did overdose but he is implying that someone drugged him.”

Scary… She goes on to tell him:
“You were in a coma for three days. I was there the second you were there. I was there when your father said, ‘Pull the plug’ so he could be on your life insurance. I was there when you had six heart attacks, 12 strokes and Kobe [Bryant] walked in when we had to do a lung surgery on you. I was there through it all. We transferred you from Vegas to Cedars. I didn’t leave you for four months.”
Absolutely insane. Lamar is SO lucky that he had someone like Khloé by his side rooting for his recovery the whole time… Even sacrificing her own health in a really scary way! She told him:
“I got a staph infection because I lived in a hospital.”
For those who don’t know, staph is a serious and highly contagious bacterial infection caused by the Staphylococcus bacteria, which can cause oozing boils and blisters on the skin. At the time, Khloé talked about the condition on X (Twitter):
“Staph infection is no joke. Mine was exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo. I’m under great medical care&receiving tons of love!”

Poor girl. She’s seriously been through so much.
Elsewhere in the episode, the mom of two vulnerably told cameras:
“Lamar was and is definitely someone that I felt was the love of my life. I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day we met, I loved him with all of my heart and soul. I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years.”
In sickness and in health, right? To a point… She added:
“But there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage. So the last time I saw him was in 2016.”
And for everything he put her though, Lamar has nothing but remorse:
“I put you through a lot. I f**ked up with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me. That love will never go away, I know it won’t.”
Such a bitter love story. We’re glad Lamar made a full recovery with Khloé by his side… Her too after that scary infection!
