Two Friends Killed After Their Speeding Porsche Crashes Into Second Story Of Building

Porsche crashed and killed two men

Two young men were killed after their Porsche lost control and crashed into the second story of a commercial building on Sunday.

According to the Police Department in Toms River, New Jersey, Braden DeMartin, 22, was driving the red 2010 Porsche Boxster convertible “at a high rate of speed” just after 6 a.m. when it lost control and hit a center median. The vehicle then continued north and struck an embankment, which sent it airborne and smashing into a building at 1466 Hooper Ave.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the accident. But sadly, both DeMartin and his passenger, 23-year-old Daniel Foley, were pronounced dead at the scene. Footage from the crash site (below) shows the vehicle wedged in the second story of the building — which houses Exit Realty Elite and three other businesses — leaving a huge hole in the structure.

Foley worked as an electrician, while DeMartin recently earned a degree in bioinformatics at Rowan University. Nicholas McConnell, a friend of DeMartin and Foley, told NJ.com the duo attended the same high school and were frequently seen skateboarding together. He shared:

“[Foley] was the nicest kid I’ve ever met. Always laughing, smiling, joking, no matter what.”

Needless to say, friends and loved ones are reeling over the devastating loss. Kristen Aguiar, DeMartin’s girlfriend, paid tribute to him in a statement to NJ.com, saying:

“Braden was the funniest, nicest, greatest person I’ve ever met. He’d do anything for anyone. I could never stay mad at him for longer than an hour.”

Aguiar told the outlet she and DeMartin went to the arcade every Sunday and would spend hours playing the video game Mario Party.

She added:
