Kim Kardashian Admits Handling Drugs - And Knowing Her Dad Could Bail Her Out If Anything Happened - ACTUALLY Inspired Passion For Prison Reform

Kim Kardashian was lucky to have a lawyer father as a teen… She was confident he could get her out of anything! And that’s a major reason she’s now so passionate about prison reform!

During Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, the SKIMS founder brings Scott Disick, Kendall Jenner, and pal Olivia Pierson with her to a prison in Sacramento, California to meet with incarcerated firefighters. And while speaking candidly with them in a group, she perhaps forgot where she was… because she fesses up to some illegal activity! The 44-year-old confesses:

“One time, my friend had me go pick up ecstasy at this apartment and like, what if something happened?”

Uhhh, Kimmy, you do realize you’re in a prison, right?!

But years ago, she didn’t have to let those panicky thoughts linger for too long… Robert Kardashian Sr. was a high-profile lawyer, after all — a layer of security most don’t benefit from:

“I thought to myself, seriously, if some s**t went down, I would’ve been able to call my dad and he would’ve helped me. And these people didn’t have that. I really thought to myself, ‘This is just so crazy, these people need help.’”

And that’s part of the reason she’s now so passionate about prison reform! She wants to help the people who shouldn’t be spending YEARS behind bars for stupid mistakes:

“The more I got into it, the more I heard stories, I was like, oh my God, this is so f**ked up, like, how do we help here? And it gets overwhelming because every part of the system is so f**ked up. It’s crazy.”

Great on Kim… But her little sister Kendall couldn’t help but laugh at her drug admission while comparing her to Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods. She says in a confessional:

“I saw the officer like a few people over from [Kim] basically be like [face palm]. It was so Legally Blonde.”

HA!

Elsewhere, Kim reflects more on her law school journey and “giving back” — something her father instilled in her:

“[It] really kind of got sparked with my dad [Robert Kardashian Sr.] and all of the giving back that he would do and just all the places he would take us to help other people. My dad resonates through all of that and I always feel his energy every time I do something like this.”

She adds visits to meet prisoners “really just is that battery in my back to keep going and to keep fighting for the guys inside and to wanna finish law school and to just keep doing what I’m doing.”
