Every new momma needs a little bit of an update…
And that’s exactly what Kim Kardashian was thinking after giving birth to baby North.
Kimmy debuted her new honey blonde ‘do over the weekend while attending a Labor Day BBQ with her daughter, and it’s definitely different.
The reality star worked with trusted hairstylist George Papanikolas to lighten her locks, who says it was her idea to ditch her dark tresses:
“It was Kim’s idea to go blonde, but everyone around her had some influence including myself. We went over a lot of photos and looks for inspiration, which is the best way to communicate hair color, that way we were able to come to an agreement of a blonde that is realistic considering her natural hair color, and would be the most flattering to her skin tone.”
Who knew there were so many factors into choosing the right shade!

The color wizard also revealed Kanye‘s baby momma might not be maintaining her sunshiny mane for more than a few weeks:
“I’m assuming she will keep it once they start shooting the next season [of Keeping Up With the Kardashians] since they usually don’t do a big hair color change mid-season.”
Can’t say we’re too surprised. This is the woman who got bangs and ditched them not even a month later.
