Kim Kardashian just scored a huge win — and it seems like her ex-husband Kanye West is jealous AF!
On Tuesday, The Kardashians star announced she’s teamed up with Nike to launch a new brand called NikeSKIMS, she shared on socials:
“Introducing NikeSKIMS. A new brand is coming this spring for the body obsessed. Designed to sculpt and engineered to perform.”

Per Nike’s website, they plan is to “disrupt the global fitness and activewear industry with best-in-class innovation in service of all women athletes* — championing their confidence, strength, femininity and competitiveness like never before.” The first collection will be released in the US in select stores in the spring and will expand globally next year.
We have no doubt this will be a HUGE success! SKIMS is taking over.
Interestingly, at about the same time as Kim’s announcement hit the internet, Ye took to his Instagram feed to share three photos of Nike’s new sneaker, which was first worn last weekend at the NBA All-Star Weekend. He captioned the post:
“THIS NEW NIKE DESIGN REALLY MOVED US / REALLY INSPIRED US AT YEEZY WE APPRECIATE YOU GUYS WORK TO THE TEAM TEAM BEHIND THESE THANK FOR MAKING SOMETHING NEW AND SPECIAL, LOVE YE”

That may seem super kind, but nothing is ever as it seems with Ye! Fans pointed out that the comment was likely riddled with sarcasm considering his complicated ties to the sports brand.
You see, the rapper started a partnership with Nike in 2007 and released the Air Yeezy in 2009. But over issues about royalties, Kanye cut ties and teamed up with Adidas instead (until he was dropped for his antisemitic comments in 2022). Picking up on the possible shade, fans pointed out that the design looked similar to shoes Ye worked on while with the company, commenting:
“For those who are wondering, Ye made this design first.”
“The Ye Effect.”
“For those that are confused, He made this design first”
So, seeing his ex-brand allegedly ripping off his design while his ex-wife just signed a MASSIVE deal with them has got to hurt! Especially when he’s already at another low point in life dealing with a split from Bianca Censori! Seems like this new partnership is really irritating him.
