Kim Kardashian continues to fight for prison reform.
As we reported, on Friday, the KUWTK star — who famously advocated for the release of Alice Marie Johnson — visited multiple female prisoners at the California Institution for Women in Corona, California.

On Monday, Kanye West‘s wife went on Twitter and publicly asked California Governor Jerry Brown to sign Assembly Bill 2550, which would restrict male prison guards’ interactions with female inmates.
The mother-of-three wrote:
The woman I met at CA Women’s Institution are still on my mind and in my heart. I do hope @GovBrown will sign AB2550 to grant #DignityForIncarceratedWomen #cut50

AB2550 would prohibit male correctional officers from conducting pat down searches on female prisoners, except in emergency situations.
Additionally, it would prevent male guards from entering areas where female prisoners are undressed, and would force them to announce their presence in women’s housing units.
Before Brown could even think about signing the bill, it still needs to be passed by the State Assembly.
Regardless, Kim is using her platform for good.
