Kim Kardashian's Baby North West's LOW Birth Weight Revealed!

Let us just say right off the bat…
…Kim Kardashian and Kanye West totally have a healthy baby!
Having said that, when North West was born – she weighed a below average amount for a newborn baby.
North West, delightfully nicknamed Nori, was born about five weeks early and weighed in at 4 pounds, 15 ounces.
Here’s what a source said:

“She’s tiny and perfect. She looks just like Kim — with her dark hair and some of her features. Kim is breastfeeding, and the baby is healthy.”

That’s gotta be a HUGE relief for Kim and Kanye! And for us, too!
Another source added:

“[When the baby came early] Kim was scared, and the doctors had to assure her that even though the baby was early, she was ready.”

Although on average babies weigh 6-8 pounds at their time of birth, that doesn’t mean babies with low birth weight aren’t healthy.
Here’s what the University of Maryland Medical Center says:

“Some babies are just small and happen to weigh less than 5.5 pounds at birth, just like some adults are smaller than others. Though this is considered low birth weight, in these cases, it is not abnormal or a cause for concern.”

It seems as though the doctors were correct with their original assessment that Nori was healthy – Kim and Kanye left the hospital with North West and returned home late last week.
We cannot wait to see their little bundle of love, and we’re so grateful that Kim has produced a healthy and happy baby.
