Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner want a lot of money back from Ray J!
Perezcious readers know the trio has been going head-to-head over the former couple’s infamous sex tape. In October, Kim and Kris sued Ray for defamation after claiming they were the subject of a federal criminal racketeering investigation — just like Diddy. The singer then countersued, accusing the reality stars of breaking their secret 2023 settlement when they talked about the sex tape on The Kardashians.
Kim and Kris tried to keep the details of that agreement under wraps after, going as far as to argue that leaking any details would cause serious harm to their privacy. However, the judge did NOT side with the mother-daughter duo. Now, we are getting some tea regarding the settlement!

TMZ obtained on Friday legal letters that Kim and Kris’ legal team sent to Ray J, slamming him for breaching their deal over the sex tape. Plus, demanding a whopping $7 MILLION from Brandy‘s brother! Damn!
According to the letter, Ray violated the April 11, 2023, agreement, which had a non-disclosure clause provision banning them from talking about the sex tape or making false claims. The deal stated Kim and Kris would pay him $6 million in total, with the payments broken down into installments of $3 million paid within 30 days. Another $1 million would be paid by April 2024, another $1 million by April 2025, and the last $1 million payment is due in 2026.
However, Kim and Kris’ attorneys demanded the $5 million that they paid to Ray back in a letter sent in May 2025, as well as an additional $1 million for Kim and $1 million for Kris, all because he breached the NDA. The note stated:
“My clients take this matter very seriously and unless your client complies with the foregoing, the Kardashians will file legal action to enforce their rights.”
Then, on October 3, 2025, the pair sent another letter to Ray after he allegedly violated the deal again by talking about it on a live stream that same month. Their legal team claimed the Love & Hip Hop alum showed the text of the agreement and falsely said:
“You just paid me all this money. You didn’t mention that, huh? You didn’t mention that. But you also didn’t mention that you were supposed to tell Hulu to take that s**t down, bro. These b**ches already paid me $5 million dollars, bro. And they tryna like make me a slave, bro. Like I could show you all the dirty stuff they be telling me. This ain’t even no money… I’m obsessed with you? You’re obsessed with me. I got all the proof. This is you telling me please don’t tell nobody. You going to jail. This is bribery. And you keep pressing me every year, and I don’t want to take this shit no more. I don’t want any f**kin’ money… The arbitration shit’s out the door, bro. What are you doing? This is hush money. From a lie that you created. You went online and said that you didn’t do, Kris, you told me what to do. You made me shoot another sex tape with your daughter, and you made me do dirty things, yo…”
To which Kim and Kris’ lawyers fired back, denying all the accusations:
“As you know, the Agreement was not ‘bribery’ and our clients did not pay Ray J any ‘hush money;’ any suggestion otherwise would be tantamount to an accusation that you breached your ethical obligations by negotiating and advising Ray J to execute an unlawful agreement. We both know that is not the case. Instead, the settlement was a negotiated and mutual agreement to resolve past claims so that the parties could finally move on and leave the past in the past. But Ray J refuses to abide by the Agreement and cease from recklessly defaming Ms. Kardashian and Ms. Jenner to exploit their prominence for his personal gain.”
Due to the violation, Kim and Kris say they are no longer required to pay Ray the last $1 million owed to him in 2026. They also demanded the immediate return of the $5 million he already received as part of the deal once again. See the entire letter HERE.
