Kim Kardashian is gutted after learning Kanye West was banned from the UK… but not for him. For their kids.
It’s been a rough few days for The Life of Pablo artist… He was all set to headline Wireless Festival in the UK this summer, but on the heels of all his controversies, sponsors started pulling out left and right. Then a MAJOR blow came on Monday. According to The Guardian, Ye made an application to travel to the UK through the Electronic Travel Authorization, but was blocked — or should we say BANNED from entering the country! And because of it, Wireless made the decision to cancel their upcoming festival. Read their official statement (below):

Following the news, UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer took to X (Twitter) to take a firm stand against the embattled rapper:
“Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless. This government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism. We will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values.”

Oof. It seems consequences have FINALLY caught up to Ye. But while the world debates the decision, four innocent parties are left dealing with the continued fallout of his destruction: North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6.

On Tuesday, an insider spoke to Rob Shuter for his Naughty But Nice Substack about how “heartbroken” Kanye’s ex-wife and the mother of his children feel for them:
“This isn’t just about Kanye. This is about the children — their future, and how this follows them. At some point, they’ll understand their dad is banned from a country. That’s a lot for any child to carry. They love their dad. That hasn’t changed — and it won’t.”
The insider went on to point out Kim understands how difficult it can be more than anyone:
“She’s trying to protect them from as much pain as possible. But she also understands the situation. He said what he said. And there are consequences.”
So above all, the SKIMS founder’s biggest focus remains protecting the kiddos:
“Her biggest fear is that they’ll be punished for something their dad did. That they’ll carry this unfairly. She wants them to feel safe, loved, and separate from the chaos.”

What a tricky situation! It must be especially challenging for the older kids as they begin dipping their toes in social media… It wouldn’t be surprising if they saw the news for themselves and had a LOT of questions! We hope Kanye at the very least takes the opportunity to show them how actions really do have consequences.
