People‘s Kardashian wedding issue sold 31% more than the newsstand sales average of 1.15 million. However, since they only make $2 for each copy they jacked the price up from $3.99 to $4.99 (or 25%) to cover their butts in case it underperformed.
The magazine also offered a $1 off coupon for a future issue, which will ultimately cost them later down the line.
