Do the damn thing, Kim Kardashian West!
KKW was clearly serious when she said she wasn’t going to stop working on prison reform after Alice Marie Johnson‘s pardon, because she’s at it again in Washington, D.C. as we speak!!

Kim went on the podcast Wrongful Conviction this week to talk about her next test case: a 30-year-old man named Chris Young who has already served ten years of a life sentence for possessing a small amount of cocaine and weed.
A life sentence for a non-violent crime is a hell of a thing, and it’s pretty much exactly what Kim is trying to eradicate. Now, she’s working on Chris’ case to potentially get him out of jail.
In the podcast, Kim notes she’s been in regular touch with Donald Trump‘s White House — specifically Jared Kushner, who she describes as being very “passionate” about prison reform. Interesting…
And per TMZ, it appears Kim literally JUST walked into the White House this morning to meet with Trump and discuss Young’s case! She flew overnight from El Lay to D.C., and reports suggest she’s getting her security clearance to enter the building right now.
Surely, we’ll see something pop up on social media later today — hopefully all goes well in Trump-land. This woman is determined!!
One other completely crazy tidbit from the podcast: Kim claims she’s spoken to the (now former) Tennessee judge who sentenced Young to life; she says the judge resigned because he couldn’t in good conscience continue to execute such draconian laws and brutal punishments for non-violent offenses.
When even the people overseeing the justice system openly admit it’s wrong and are willing to end their careers to prove it, you know things are seriously messed up…

Regardless, Kim is proving herself a force that can’t be stopped when it comes to social changes like this. Can’t hate it, she’s got a great cause and a TON of drive!!
And as sh*tty as the Trump White House usually is, if they can get this one right like they did for Kim’s first case with Ms. Johnson… well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then! Ha!!
