Kim Kardashian is navigating parenthood more or less on her own at this point. Because Kanye West is basically a deadbeat dad?!?
That’s the claim being made by a source who spoke to People on Monday, at least. And to hear this insider deliver the shocking revelation that the SKIMS mogul is allegedly “pretty much a single mom” is, uh, jaw-dropping. Like, we knew Ye is once again halfway across the world with Bianca Censori, but damn!

So, here’s the deal: on Monday, a source close to the now-44-year-old (HBD, Kim!) reality TV mogul dropped the dime to People that her 47-year-old ex-husband is “not around” very often anymore. That leaves Kim to “pretty much” handle the parenting of daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 6, and sons Saint, 8, and Psalm, 5 on her own. The source claimed:
“Kanye is sadly not around very much. She’s pretty much a single mom. Although she has help, it’s still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything.”
We’ve seen North have a blast joining in on her dad’s concerts… but is that the exception? Not the rule?
The source then went on to explain how Kim’s work life with SKIMS and her other projects, including SKKN By Kim, has been shaped around her various parenting duties that pop up throughout the day:
“Kim’s life is around her kids’ schedules. When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she’s very much focused on being a mom.”
The insider also added more about how Kim’s love life has been affected, too! She’s so busy with parenting since the Hurricane rapper is evidently so consistently absent that the KUWTK alum’s dating life has been TOTALLY paused:
“[Kim] is not even dating anyone now. It’s all about work and the kids.”
Wow!
But also… we haven’t heard any significant romance rumors involving Kim for quite a while, so we’re not totally certain that her dating delays can be attributed entirely to Kanye’s alleged absence. Frankly, it wasn’t too long ago it was Ye’s presence that was hurting her love life! Ya know?!
Without a doubt, Kanye is, uh, going through a lot right now. He’s been accused of everything from faking his own divorce rumors to abusing employees to throwing sex parties. It’s starting to sound even worse than it has the past few years…
And to hear this source speak so candidly about Kim’s parenting schedule without him? It kinda feels like the Kardashians are trying to get even more distance from Kanye. Which really makes us wonder whether some other MAJOR piece of news is about to drop… Like worse than the other allegations… Hmm…
