Kim Kardashian might not be in the spotlight forever!
During a conversation with Poppy Harlow at the 2023 Time100 Summit on Tuesday, the 42-year-old revealed she has considered stepping aside from the cameras one day and focusing full force on her legal work!

Kim has been studying to become a lawyer since 2019 and finally passed the baby bar in 2021 after one failed attempt. She now plans to take the official bar exam in February 2025. So, we’ve got some time before she departs reality TV for good! But it’s coming… Referencing momager Kris Jenner, she teased:
“I joke with my mom — who’s my manager — I say, ‘Kim K is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney. So you can go help my siblings so you can still have a job.'”
LOLz!
But would she REALLY leave the reality TV world for a life as an attorney? She and her family have been appearing on the small screen since E!‘s Keeping Up With The Kardashians first aired way back in 2007. After 20 seasons, they moved to Hulu for The Kardashians. In all, we’re talking 16 YEARS on TV! Despite her history, the SKIMS founder would “absolutely” leave it all behind:
“I would be just as happy being an attorney full-time and doing that. The journey just really opened up my eyes to so much. It gets overwhelming because there’s so much to be done… I would totally spend more time doing that — cameras, no cameras.”
We could totally see her trying to come up with a new show based on her life as a lawyer though! Kinda like her podcast, The System. It’s a nice way to combine both of her worlds and use her platform for good!

Reflecting on what her late father, Robert Kardashian, would think of her following in his footsteps to become an attorney, she said:
“I know that he would probably get such a kick out of this because he wouldn’t have expected it at all.”
Awww! She also revealed he was “absolutely” a driving force in her decision to pursue this career. Sweet!
Elsewhere in the chat, the model opened up about what it’s been like to have so much of her life be public — and it sounds like she wouldn’t mind a little more privacy these days. She said:
“There’s a lot that’s always on TV and a lot that’s always out there, but I do feel like my friends and my family cherish our private times.”
