File this under news we never thought we’d hear about!
For those of you out there who aren’t quite history buffs, England’s King Richard III‘s body has been missing since he endured fatal head wounds in 1485’s Battle of Bosworth.
That is, until now!
That’s right! Scientists have unearthed a skeleton that they are 99.999 percent sure belongs to Richard.
Using DNA in the skeleton that was excavated from beneath a parking lot, they were able to find two descendents of the English monarch; his 14th cousins twice removed, Wendy Duldig and Michael Ibsen.

Plus, Shakespeare depicted Richard III as a bit of a hunchback, and the skeleton has a warped spine, which could have led to uneven shoulders, adding even more proof to the figgy pudding.
His body had been missing for centuries, so it’s a pretty big historical find!
What a time to be alive — or a dead missing skeleton under a parking lot.
