Kourtney Kardashian's Vitamin Brand Lemme Sued For Falsely Claiming Their Weight Loss Supplement Works Like Ozempic!

Kourtney Kardashian may regret going into the weight loss space now because she has been sued over her Ozempic-style supplement!

Last year, the reality star’s vitamin company Lemme launched GLP-1 Daily — a reference to the naturally occurring hormone in weight loss/diabetes management medications like Ozempic. The vitamin doesn’t contain any of the key ingredients that these types of drugs do, but Kourtney has pretty much marketed it as if it does! Her brand claimed the gummy would “naturally boost your body’s GLP-1 production, reduce appetite, and promote healthy weight loss.”

Here is the major problem! While Kourtney promises all these things in one supplement, it doesn’t work — not like Ozempic or other weight loss drugs. Medical professionals have even called out the brand for misleading consumers and advertising the vitamin as this miracle alternative or dupe to weight loss medications. However, it will not do the same thing! That is because the product contains lemon fruit extract, saffron extract, and red-orange fruit extract. And while Lemme claims these ingredients achieve the same weight management results by promoting the body’s natural GLP-1 hormone development, doctors stress that is not the case. As Dr. Naveen Cavale previously put it to The US Sun:

“Ozempic contains semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor that has been rigorously tested and proven to promote significant weight loss by mimicking the body’s natural GLP-1 hormone. It works by regulating blood sugar, reducing appetite and slowing digestion, leading to effective weight management. This supplement lacks that key ingredient.”

Because of this false advertisement, she has been sued! Per Kelley Drye, two class action complaints were filed in California Superior Court against Kourtney’s Lemme GLP-1 Daily — one on February 19 and another on March 9 — for falsely claiming the weight loss supplement works like Ozempic.

The complaints also claim that Lemme states that “clinical studies show that the lemon extract (trademarked Eriomin), increases the amount of naturally occurring GLP-1 in the body by 17 percent” and cited several studies on the individual fruit extract ingredients in the product and their purported effect on caloric consumption, BMI, and weight loss. However, the complaints allege those studies do not show any discernible impact on weight loss, and the results from the studies are insignificant. Furthermore, they argued that the studies do not measure the extracts together, so “while they claim to have clinical support for the components of Lemme GLP-1 Daily, they did not study the combination of those extracts in a single supplement—meaning that the supplement has not been clinically tested.”

All of this to say, Lemme hasn’t proven this supplement actually works to help manage weight and that they may have misled consumers into thinking it does! Take a look at a breakdown (below):

This is not a good look for Kourt…
