On Tuesday, the SNL alum tried to go for the gold in this lacy, floor-length number, but unfortunately she missed the mark.

The 42-year-old’s dress just had too much going on between the distracting neckline, the gold-and-silver color combo, and that random pair of lips printed on only one side of the piece.
The brunette bombshell, however, pulled off her metallic ensemble!
The gorgeous gal rocked a black-and-gold halter dress that flawlessly fit her figure, and featured some beautiful detailing down the side!
