Kristin Beck is, by anyone’s standards, a genuine American hero!
A Navy SEAL for 20 years, she put herself in harms way during seven combat deployments and gathered a string of accolades including a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
And she did it all while pretending to be a man!!!
Born Chris Beck, she realized early on she was transgendered. Unfortunately she was forced to keep her complex identity a secret while serving in the military and laying her life on the line for her country. A country that often shows intolerance toward the LGBT community.
After retiring from Seal Team 6 just months before they killed Osama bin Laden, the 46-year-old combat veteran finally felt comfortable enough to show the world her true identity. She posted a picture of herself as Kristin online.
For the most part, her brothers-in-arms were extremely supportive!
Kristin is now sharing her incredible & inspirational story of triumph with the whole world in her book Warrior Princess: A U.S. Navy Seal’s Journey to Coming Out Transgender!!!
We can’t imagine all the extra hardships Kristin must’ve gone through to get to where she’s at, but we’re sooo proud!!!
