Kristin Cavallari has been on a bit of a gossip kick ever since she first started spilling secrets about her hit MTV shows… and we could not be loving it any more!
While she just came clean that she actually hated filming Laguna Beach before embracing the manipulation on The Hills, she’s already back with even more insider info about the series.

The 29-year-old mother-of-three sat down with Us Weekly on Thursday to initially chat about motherhood, but ended up answering one of the biggest questions about the “realness” of reality TV, saying:

“We never got an actual script, but they would text us what to say, so that to people around us, it would just look like we were looking at our phones, and then we’d talk about whatever.”

Is there anything that more perfectly encompasses the 2000s than seeing Kristin or Lauren Conrad look down at their flip phone and immediately have an AH-Mazing one-liner at their disposal? LOLz!
The Hills didn’t exactly try to hide the scripted nature from fans — the series finale pulled back to reveal a soundstage, for example — but it’s nice to hear our suspicions confirmed straight from the source.
