Kristin Cavallari Reveals The Surprising 'Best Thing' She's Done After Mark Estes Split -- But Is There More To The Story??

Kristin Cavallari is changing up how she deals with a breakup!

Following her unfortunate recent split from hunky younger boyfriend Mark Estes, the 37-year-old is getting candid about that always-difficult post-split period. But for her, things haven’t been as difficult over the past few weeks as she initially expected… for a surprising reason…

She has completely cut alcohol out of her life! Wait, what?!

The Very Cavallari alum is in the news on this fine Tuesday because the latest episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast just dropped. And no, she didn’t spend the pod talking about how Kanye West was replaced with a clone. That was last week

Instead, this week, it’s all about booze! As we reported early on Tuesday morning, KCav used the podcast to VERY tersely address her ex-husband Jay Cutler‘s recent DUI arrest. But she’s also using it to talk about her own sobriety! Referencing the Estes split and her choice not to drink in its aftermath, she explained:

“Let me tell you something, this most recent breakup — [it’s the] first breakup I have not had any alcohol, none.”

Wow!

Reflecting on her tips for getting over a breakup — especially at this point in her life as a 37-year-old mom of three — the reality TV veteran laid out her advice to “become the hottest version of you.” That includes “eating well,” “prioritizing sleep, and “getting your ass to the gym,” as Kristin candidly said. She then added the key point — to drop the booze!

Well, if you’re her age, at least. She carved out an exception for listeners in their early 20s — that party time is important, too:

“It depends on where you are in life. If you’re 22, go out to the club, and get f**king drunk and have fun. Do the damn thing. As an adult now, in my 30s, staying sober during this breakup is the best thing that I’ve done.”

Amazing!

Inneresting that she’s making such a distinction between her current life and her early 20s, right? Considering her ex was 24 years old? Hmm.

She went on to note that “alcohol doesn’t really sound good to me” at this point, before admitting that she is nevertheless planning on her first forthcoming boozy adventure in months:

“I’m doing a little, like, honey and wine tasting thing tomorrow, so I’m excited for that. Then I probably won’t drink for another few months.”

And she capped it with a joke about the inevitable hangover that will follow:

“I’m gonna drink tomorrow for the first time in months. I don’t even know how long it’s been, and I’m looking forward to it, and it’s gonna be fun. I’m gonna feel like s**t the day after, but that’s OK. I have really prioritized my health, and I think that really helps.”

Sounds great, right?! We stan a health-conscious queen! (And one that can also let her hair down a bit when it’s called for, too!)

However… we also can’t help but notice the dichotomy here between Kristin’s vocal sobriety push and her ex-hubby’s recent DUI arrest. Remember, Jay is accused of boozing and driving after being involved in a fender-bender in Franklin, Tennessee last week. He was then detained by cops on the DUI charge and a gun possession rap. Soooo maybe this whole podcast ep is meant as a not-so-subtle message lobbed towards the father of Kristin’s three kids??? Just wondering!! Thoughts??
