Kylie Jenner DENIES Sending Cease & Desist Letters Over Trademarked 'Rise & Shine' Merch!

Kylie Jenner may have invented one of the best viral social media trends of the year with “Rise and Shine,” but according to her, she isn’t trying to stop anyone from joining in on the fun.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star took to Twitter on Sunday to set the record straight on a recent report she’s sending cease and desist letters to companies who were using the iconic phrase before she made it famous!

As our readers know, the reality TV starlet sang the catchy line to her daughter Stormi Webster during an office tour of Kylie Cosmetics for her YouTube channel last month. After the moment took over the Internet, TMZ reported legal docs had been filed to allow cover for selling the phrase on various kinds of clothing and merchandise.

Even so, the 22-year-old is making it clear she’s not trying to keep this “Rise & Shine” money to herself! She asked her followers yesterday to give her the benefit of the doubt and think twice before questioning her business ethics, tweeting:

“Guys, please don’t believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters. Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone’s memes since the video came out a few weeks ago.”

In a follow-up tweet, Miz Jenner attempted to put a period on the discussion and added:

“there are no law suits, no cease and desist letters. Happy Sunday”

For those who might’ve missed it, the drama started after an MTV Australia report claimed an anonymous small business owner in the Land Down Under received the supposed legal order for selling tees with the famed expression for the past year through their Cased Clothing t-shirt collection.

Kylie also tweeted at another account for circulating such “lies” and allegedly fake news, (below):

As the “he-said-she-said” situation began to escalate, the company who Ky was said to have contacted took to Instagram to share their two cents on the matter and back up the starlet’s defense!

Alongside a longer photo message explaining their stance, the fashion label’s IG post reads:

“KYLIE HAS NOT SENT US ANY LETTERS. We are not being sued. All Kardashian/Jenner “hate” comments will be deleted. We do not agree with bringing people down.”

Well, there you have it and straight from the source!

Now, needless to say, people are still up in arms over the whole fiasco as many have continued to share speculatory comments across social media, and in general, wag their finger at Travis Scott‘s baby momma for legally binding the term and essentially killing the joke herself.

Kylie’s bank account from those t-shirt sales begs to differ, but ok.

Everyone else’s hurt feelings aside, Jenner has technically cleared her name here. Unless you’re of the few in the comments section who believe Cased Clothing was supposedly paid to weigh in on the drama just to make the world’s youngest “self-made” billionaire look good…
