Things aren’t quite as easy as they seem for Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet.
Sure, the A-list couple has been doing their thing for a while now — and very privately, too. But their names keep popping up in other people’s mouths even as they try to navigate love and romance (mostly) far away from fame. And to hear a new source tell it now, it sounds like that is one of the hardest parts of keeping their relationship on the straight-and-narrow while looking ahead to an uncertain future.

On Thursday, an insider spoke to DailyMail.com about the high-profile couple’s low-profile relationship and revealed that the 27-year-old reality TV star and the 29-year-old A-list actor are both very keen on keeping their most intimate moments private. The insider began by acknowledging:
“Kylie and Timothée are still trying to figure out who they are as a couple. There is no trouble in paradise, but there are things they still need to navigate.”
The mole then continued on about how the Call Me By Your Name star is still trying to navigate his career in addition to building his connection to Kylie:
“They are both very attracted to each other, but Timothée is still trying to figure out his career, which is a lot to deal with. To add a relationship into the mix with someone like Kylie is a lot to juggle.”
No kidding!
Privacy really matters here, too. According to the insider, the fact that they have not shared everything about their relationship on camera has made a world of difference:
“Being so secretive besides the odd award show is how they have managed to work, and Kylie understands that. She knows she can’t put the Kardashian spin on it, because if she does, the relationship will be too much to deal with for Timothée.”
We honestly can’t even imagine putting the KarJenner “spin” on things at this point. But we bet Kris Jenner sure can… LOLz!
Anyways, Kylie sounds dead-set on sacrificing the potential promotional and public side of things in order to make their real-life connection work:
“She wants him around and is willing to sacrifice that to make her love life work. They understand people want to know more, but they want to keep a bunch of stuff to themselves, because they want to honor the success of the relationship.”
BTW, another source also dished new deets to DM about the moment when Kylothée REALLY took off as a couple: six months into their relationship, when the Kylie Swim mogul rented out a remote castle in the Italian countryside and invited the actor there to run the gauntlet with Kris and the rest of her famous fam!
The insider explained:
“Kris, Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Kendall — they’d all met Timothée before but the relationship was very new at that point and they wanted to get to know him properly. It wasn’t until Timothee went on that holiday with the girls and Kris — and a bunch of Kylie’s friends — that he was considered part of the family, it was sort of like an induction holiday.”
Sounds intimidating, honestly. But it worked!! The source added:
“And that’s really where Kylie and Timothée fell in love, they came back from that holiday a real couple. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other, kissing by the pool.”
And they’ve been thick as thieves ever since. Awww!
