It was Kylie Jenner who didn’t want Timothée Chalamet to come with her to the Met Gala, y’all! At least that’s what a source for Page Six says…
When the Met Gala came and went earlier this month, fans were shocked to see Timmy T not show up alongside his lady, and instead, he went to a basketball game in NYC! But this insider on Monday says that was Kylie’s choice — because she’s a bit superstitious:
“Kylie and Timothée intentionally avoided attending the Met Gala together these past few years because they didn’t want to risk the whole ‘Met Gala curse’ thing.”

The Met Gala curse, in case you’re not familiar, is a superstition that celebs who make their debut at or attend the Met Museum together are doomed to fail. Kylie has even experienced this herself, because she and Travis Scott broke up after they went together! Even her sister Kim Kardashian‘s romance with Pete Davidson fizzled just three months after they hit the iconic carpet together! So no wonder she’s superstitious.
The source continued:
“Kylie was especially superstitious about it after going to the Met with Travis in 2018 and 2019 before they eventually split. … [She] just didn’t want that kind of bad luck attached to their relationship [with Timothée] and wasn’t willing to take any chances.”
Sooo, maybe it wasn’t so shady that the actor skipped out?? Hmm.
