It’s safe to say Instagram users were not happy with how Kylie Jenner chose to celebrate Easter this past weekend — the first time around, at least.
Of course, Sunday marked the major Christian holiday, and millions of people all over the world spent it with their families and loved ones. Kylie did, too, but it was how she showed off her holiday celebration that seemed to get many of her 386 million followers into an angry tailspin!

First, the photos. The Life of Kylie alum rocked a tight-fitting Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a very low neckline and a sheer skirt in her first go at Easter images. The star — who was also holding a wicker basket full of sunflowers and Easter eggs in the pic set — simply captioned the photos “happy easter.” You can see the snaps for yourself in the pair of pic insets (above), and the full post HERE.
Immediately after the Kylie Cosmetics mogul posted the pair of photos, fans jumped IN on how her content was supposedly inappropriate for the solemn Easter holiday. Here are just a few of the thousands of comments that reacted very negatively to Kendall Jenner‘s little sister on Sunday:
“Really? You can’t skip one day? It’s Easter. How about just a cute family pic.”
“Why do all the Kardashians pictures look like they are posing sexually”
“Do you have to sexualize Easter too??”
“Easter isn’t about you”
“it’s Resurrection day get over yourself”
“Well at least she’s not 95% naked in this one”
“Yup def show off your body to celebrate Jesus being risen.”
“Someone needs attention”
“Give it a rest it’s Easter”
“Can’t they just pose normal at this point !! They are older and all have kids, it’s annoying their poses !! Look like mothers!!”
“bro u dating timmy or nah just asking for a friend”
“Was Timmy there be honest”
And yes, those last comments are a bit of a jokey reference to Kylie’s rumored new connection to actor Timothée Chalamet. Gotta get those timely digs in one way or another, we suppose. (NGL tho, we laughed at it!)

Here’s where things get interesting, though!
Hours after posting those Easter thirst traps, Kylie returned to IG for a second pic carousel! Boasting about having “the sweetest easter weekend” with her family, the makeup mogul showed off snaps of 5-year-old daughter Stormi and 14-month-old son Aire hanging out with family members — including cousin True Thompson — and enjoying lavish Easter-themed gift baskets.
So maybe Kylie took those fan comments to heart and pulled the ol’ switcheroo with some new #content?! You can see that second set of snaps for yourself HERE, too.
