The KUWTK drama continues… and they’re squeezing everything they can out of this Jordyn Woods–Tristan Thompson mess to drag well on into the 17th season!
We already watched in awe as Kylie Jenner‘s now-former BFF allegedly hooked up with Khloé Kardashian‘s estranged baby daddy during the two-part finale of season 16 a few weeks ago… but now, it appears the scandal’s after-effects will be a hot topic to begin season 17, too!

In a teaser scene from the season 17 premiere episode — which will debut on E! sometime in the fall — we see Kylie and Khloé talking about the fall-out and after-effects from the Jordyn-Tristan scandal over wine (natch) in Napa Valley.
The pair seems to be taking it all pretty well in stride — especially considering they were the two arguably most-impacted of the entire KarJenner fam — but at one point, Khlo-money asks her little sis if she misses having her BFF around. And at that point, the makeup and beauty business mogul opens up, revealing (below):
“I think that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen for a reason. For me, for you, for everybody. [Jordyn] was my security blanket. She lived with me. We did everything together. “I just felt like, ‘Oh, I have Jordyn. I don’t need anything else.’ … There’s a part of me that needed to grow without her. Sometimes people are there for certain reasons at certain times in your life and then not there for others.”
Wow.
Very mature for a young 20-something to realize something like that, first off… but also very interesting to hear Kylie sort of imply there that maybe she had outgrown Jordyn a bit?! Or, needed to get away from Jordyn so that she could out-grow her BFF?! Times change, and people change — it’s inevitable!!!

Even Khloé noticed the maturity during their conversation here, and responded with her own affirmations for her wise-beyond-her-years little sister. The Revenge Body star summed it up (below):
“I really respect in you that you’re really good at being calm even when you probably do want to scream at someone … It’s inspiring. Everything’s supposed to happen for a reason. I feel like this is the season to filter through the bulls**t. And you know, only the strong and loyal will survive.”
