Riiise and shiiiine!!
Kylie Jenner set the internet on fire two months ago when she sang “rise and shine” to her daughter Stormi Webster, and on Friday night she performed it in front of a lucky crowd for the first time.

The overnight hitmaker sang the viral tune at Justin and Hailey Bieber‘s Lift LA x Inner-City Arts Benefit in El Lay, and to say it was a welcome surprise would be a total understatement.
In the clip (below), Miz Jenner approaches the microphone to sweetly sing out “rise and shine” causing Justin and Jaden Smith to jump for joy as the crowd enthusiastically cheers her on.

As you’ll likely recall, the makeup mogul wowed everyone when she sang the lyric to her 22-month-old daughter as she entered her nursery at Kylie Cosmetics HQ. Like everything else she does, it turned to gold!
Obviously, Ky didn’t get to where she is now without making some cash off of just about everything she does. Per TMZ, the 22-year-old filed to trademark the lyric, which would allow cover for the phrase to be produced on “belts, pants, coats, dresses, footwear, gloves, headbands, headwear, jackets, loungewear, scarves, sleepwear, socks, swimwear and undergarments … as well as cosmetics.”
This should come as zero surprise to anyone who has been tracking her insane success, especially considering she quickly began selling merch with the now-infamous phrase plastered all over it, with the sweatshirt drop selling out almost immediately.
All that aside, the Kylie Skin founder made it clear she’s not trying to keep this “Rise & Shine” cash to herself! Well of course not, Ky! We’re sure Kris Jenner needs a slice of this action too, LOLz!!
Travis Scott‘s ex asked her followers to give her the benefit of the doubt before questioning her business ethics, tweeting:
“Guys, please don’t believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters. Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone’s memes since the video came out a few weeks ago.”
“there are no law suits, no cease and desist letters. Happy Sunday”
We hope this won’t be the last time we hear her sing!!
