L Word Spin-Off News!

Now that The L Word is in its final season, it’s time for the spin-off!

And what have they got in mind?

A “female Oz“! Yes, as in the gritty prison drama!

With Leisha Hailey‘s character, Alice Pieszecki, going to jail, the new show will follow her and a cast of characters (not all of them lesbians) in the big house, although Showtime President of Entertainment Bob Greenblatt says it will not be as “dark” as Oz.

The show is still in its pilot stage and a decision will be reached in a couple of months.
