That was fast!
Earlier today, we reported that songwriter Linda Perry called Lady GaGa‘s involvement in writing Til It Happens To You into question!
In a string of shady Tweets, Perry questioned if the pop star really deserved to be credited as a co-writer on the track — which scored an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song last week — and claimed Diane Warren wrote all but a couple words.

While GaGa has yet to belt out a response, Warren took to Twitter herself to defend The Countess’ credibility on writing the song for the haunting documentary The Hunting Ground!
On Monday, the eight-time Oscar nominee explained that the song was a special collaboration between her and GaGa, sharing:
Til It Happens To You was written for The Hunting Ground, an incredibly powerful documentary about sexual assault on college campuses

The song is the result of a special collaboration between myself and Lady Gaga. As Lady Gaga and I have consistly said. Til it Happens

To you was inspired by the countless survivors of abuse who need our support and love so they know they’re not alone.

That’s not exactly a denial of Linda’s claim. But it def looks like Diane believes GaGa fully deserves her nomination!
What do YOU think??
