Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom have finally reunited!
On the season 6 premiere of The Kardashians out on Thursday, the exes reunited for the first time in 9 years — as a way to help KoKo close this “chapter” of her life. The get-together went down at her BFF Malika Haqq‘s house, and Khloé didn’t even tell her sisters or mother what she was doing, since Kris Jenner “would’ve been crying” had she known. Aw!

In a confessional, the Good American founder reflected on her lengthy marriage to the basketball star, whom she was married to from 2009 to 2016. She expressed:
“Lamar was, and is, definitely someone that I was like, the love of my life. I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day after meeting one another, I loved him with all of my heart and soul.”
She noted:
“I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years, but there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage.”
Despite having some challenges, he still means a great deal to her, the reality star continued:
“I don’t know if I could even put into words what I felt for Lamar. It felt like the most special, magical time of my life — the most purest love I’ve ever had. And although there was so much darkness in that marriage, there was the brightest of the bright times. And I love it and I cherish it.”
That said, she is ready to “be done with that chapter,” adding:
“I haven’t had contact with Lamar in nine years and I just think it’s time to shed as much as I can.”
The mother of two recalled how she “had to break contact with him” after his 2015 overdose left him in a coma. While she helped take care of him for several months, she soon started to see him “repeating some of the same behaviors that [she] just couldn’t stand for” and she knew it was time to go. The model remembered kicking him out of a home she had rented amid his recovery:
“I was very upset. I said to him, ‘I’m going to Vegas. You need to be out by Monday. That’s it, I’m done.’ And I haven’t seen Lamar since that day.”
Whoa! That’s a heck of a way to end things. No wonder they were both a bit nervous about the reunion! Though Khloé wasn’t so thrilled about having to see him again due to their difficult past, she told her pal before he arrived:
“I don’t have bad blood. I don’t have any blood. There’s no feelings. I want him to have his stuff…and that’s it. I wish I could just do that and not have a conversation.”
But that wouldn’t make for must-watch TV. LOLz!
After being nearly an hour late, the NBA player finally arrived looking “visibly uncomfortable,” “nervous,” “sweating,” and “scared,” his ex-wife pointed out. Even though it was SUPER awkward, the 40-year-old gave Lamar back some of his things, including a sentimental angel wing necklace she had made for him in honor of his late grandmother, mother, and son. As he was looking through all his things, he shockingly called her his wife! He said:
“My wife is the s**t.”
Eek!
The fashionista laughed off the remark, saying:
“OK. Calm down.”
LOLz! In a confessional, she got more candid about hearing the words again, musing:
“I don’t have a lot of emotions for this meeting. I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship. For years, this was such the love of my life that to learn how to unlove someone, to have to go through all that, it’s almost like a death.”
She continued:
“So, him calling me his wife, words are empty. I don’t know this person anymore. This is so familiar and so unchartered all at the same time. It’s just a mindf**k.”
Meanwhile, Lamar went on to say that he still loves her! A totally opposite reaction. LMFAO! He told her:
“I took you through a lot. […] I f**ked up, with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me. That love, I don’t think it’ll ever go away. I know it won’t.”
Breakups can be so hard — but it doesn’t seem like he’s been trying to figure out a way to “unlove” her as much as she has. Oof! Hopefully, this reunion brings them both much-needed closure!
