Lamar Odom Says He 'Can't Remember S**t' YEARS After Suffering A Near Fatal Overdose

It’s hard to believe that it has been almost four years since former NBA star Lamar Odom survived a near fatal overdose in 2015 at a brothel in Nevada.
At the time, the athlete pulled through from the drug-induced coma, but went on to suffer twelve strokes and six heart attacks over the years following the scary incident.
Today, the man is certainly counting his lucky stars, and is thankful to be alive and relatively well enough to get back on the court. But the 39-year-old recently admitted that he’s still feeling the effects of his brush with death.

Speaking candidly to the New York Times of his current state of mind, he explained:

“My damn memory, I can’t remember s**t.”

Odom continued to detail his struggles with short-term memory loss, and reveals that he often forgets where he put an object moments after handling it.
As many of you know, Khloé Kardashian‘s ex was a high school basketball phenom before going on to win multiple championships with the Los Angeles Lakers basketball franchise. But what once came easily and naturally to him — something as simple as dribbling a basketball — now feels more difficult than ever:

“From the stroke, some of my balance is not the same, my equilibrium is not the same, but I’m working on it to get it better. Handling the basketball came so naturally. When I see that going between my legs and going behind my back is a problem, I think that’s the coma and stroke and heart attack.”

The star says that doctors have prescribed some mental exercises to combat the issues, but it sounds like Oodm is going to need more than that to be physically ready to take part in his next venture.
Lamar is hoping to be selected in the upcoming Big3 draft, in which 132 players, including many former professionals athletes like himself, will vie to join the three-on-three league operated by Ice Cube.
This isn’t the first attempt at a comeback, either. The South Jamaica, New York native attempted to play for a Spanish overseas team in 2014, and even made an appearance for a Filipino team in a tournament in Dubai this past December.
Whether or not Lamar will be physically in shape for his Big3 tryout remains to be seen.
