Laura Linney's Father Has Passed Away

So incredibly sad.

For those of you who were confused as to why Laura Linney was not on hand to personally accept her Golden Globe for ‘Best Actress In A TV Series’ at Sunday’s ceremony, we’re very sad to report that The Big C actress’ father, playwright Romulus Linney, passed away the night prior after a battle with lung cancer.

He was 80 years old.

Our thoughts are with Laura and her family during this tough time.
