Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff didn’t want to relax too much this Labor Day weekend!
The Glee and Spring Awakening co-stars went searching for some wide open spaces, driving up the California coast and into the mountains for some outdoor exploring!
Lea posted this pic on Twitter of her taking in the view from what looks like a cave made out of tree branches!

Lea let Mother Nature take her mind off of things as she enjoyed the stunning scenery around her. She tweeted out:

Lea and Jonathan were spotted outside of Santa Barbara, stopping at a gas station for some sodas and to refuel their Hyundai. Then they were back on the road, headed north towards Big Sur.
Sometimes you gotta getaway and we’re certain Lea needed some time to herself after the summer she’s had. Next week will mark two months since losing her longtime boyfriend Cory Monteith in an apparent drug overdose.
In a few weeks, Glee will kick off their fifth season, including a special tribute episode to Cory’s character Finn.
Stay strong Lea and ALWAYS make time to enjoy that fresh air!
