Sounds like Taylor Swift has some serious competition in the music writing department!
Everybody knows breakup songs are the best when there’s a TON of anger and passion behind it!
Even though Leighton Meester is happily married to Adam Brody, the songs on her new album that she wrote stemmed from painful breakups from the past!

She explained that the record was primarily inspired by a split years ago, she said:
“It used to be about some stupid breakup that I had when I was 25 or earlier.
But it was stupid, and I was like, ‘I have to write a song about this!’ Now, it really does have more meaning. At the time it was like,’ Screw you, I don’t care about you anymore, and it’s not going to happen! Joker.'”
Wow. That sounds like it was a VERY heated split.
It does make us wonder who the song is about…possibly a former Gossip Girl co-star??
