Lena Dunham & Allison Williams Share The Sappiest Snaps During Allison's Last Day On The Set Of Girls!

Lena Dunham and Allison Williams are super sentimental!
As we all know by now, Girls is ending after season six, and production on those final episodes is just about wrapping up. And Wednesday was Miz Williams’ last day on set!

Well, we aren’t the only ones upset that the brunette beauty’s time on the HBO series has come to an end! Both she and Lena have taken to Instagram to document the actress’ final moments from filming!
The 28-year-old posted this precious pic (above) hugging the series’ creator, and got incredibly emotional in the caption, writing:

“Marnie has officially gone wherever all characters go when we stop watching them. And I couldn’t feel luckier that I got to play her.”

She continued to gush about Lena, writing:

“This lady, @lenadunham, gave me everything. She gave me the most incredible challenges and adventures and the opportunity to know and love our GIRLS family. She also gave me her fierce friendship, wit, love, and loyalty, all while making me giggle on a constant basis. Sitting next to Lena while being directed by @jennikonner, it all felt completely right.”

Aaaaaaaaaand cue the tissues:

“Then I immediately burst into some pretty rare tears, because it hit me that I don’t know what my adult life looks like without Girls. To everyone – our cast, our crew, HBO, my family – thank you. And to @juddapatow, thanks for watching a YouTube video of a 22 year-old fresh out of college and inviting her to audition for Marnie Marie Michaels. I’ve been grateful every single day since. #EndOfGirls #ThatsAWrapOnMarnie”

But that’s not all! For good measure, she also posted this:

Marn, this is how I’d like to remember you/us (this must sound so weird to anyone who isn’t an actor): Crimped hair, bra-induced cleavage, pointing up to the sky while making a stanky face. I’ll think of you any time I hear “Stronger” or “What I Am” or…really any other song that would be weird for you to cover. Miz Dunham also whipped up her own batch of sentimental posts, sharing:

Tonight we said goodbye to Allison Williams, aka Marnie Marie Michaels, aka the most talented, hard-working, generous, tireless, self-deprecating and delicious smelling woman I have ever known. Have you ever met someone who got a hand injury writing Thank You notes? Neither had I until Allison came along. From the moment we met her six years ago, we knew she would give everything to this character and she did. Her bravery, sense of adventure and tenacity has made every day with her an honor. Instead of sharing a pic of Allison as the inimitable Marnie I’m sharing this: from a hospital stay I had where Allison came and organized my entire room, fluffed my pillow, put roses everywhere, installed an Apple TV AND made sure I had a buttered bagel.
