This is an appropriate place for this guy to get a job! LOLz!
Joe Halderman, a former CBS News producer who tried to blackmail David Letterman back in ’09, has just been hired on Investigation Discovery’s On the Case with Paula Zahn.
As a reminder, Joe tried to extort $2 million from Dave, and he “threatened to release embarrassing details about the late night host’s personal life.”
Joe will work as a producer on ID’s hour-long documentary crime program. Not bad for a guy who just got out of prison last year!
Here’s what On the Case EP Scott Weinberger had to say about hiring Joe in a statement:
“On behalf of On The Case├óΓé¼Γäós production team, we have been impressed with Joe Halderman├óΓé¼Γäós professional accomplishments as an Emmy award-winning producer for 48 Hours and CBS News.”
“With the network├óΓé¼Γäós prior approval, the team has brought Halderman on as a producer for On The Case. We are confident that Halderman will make significant contributions to the success of our award-winning investigative newsmagazine.”
Let’s hope ID doesn’t regret this move! We’re all about second chances – but this guy makes us very nervous.
What do U think? Will Letterman’s extortionist behave himself on his new show???
