Liam Payne’s Death Hit Kelly Osbourne 'Hard' -- He Was There For Her At Toughest Time!

Just like so many, Kelly Osbourne was heartbroken by the news of the death of her good friend Liam Payne earlier this month.

As Perezcious readers know, the singer died at the age of 31 after jumping from a fourth-story hotel balcony in Buenos Aires while on multiple drugs, including “pick cocaine.” The news was shocking and devastating to everyone, including Kelly. In fact, she told Us Weekly on Thursday that his death “hit hard” as he had supported her during a tough time recently.

The television personality shared that she had just spoken to Liam some time shortly before his sudden death — because he wanted to check up on her. Awww! According to Kelly, she never saw any signs the One Direction alum was struggling at the time. She said he “was in a good place” during their conversation, adding:

“He was checking on me to make sure that I was OK. The fact that there was nobody there for him just absolutely breaks my heart.”

We bet Kelly wishes she could have been there for Liam more now. Oof. As you know, both Liam and Kelly struggled with addiction over the years. She has been sober since 2021. However, reflecting on her own sobriety journey, she admits it’s still “a rocky road” for her, too. Kelly explained to Us:

“Most days are great, but every now and then, I’ll get one really bad day where it’s hard to pull myself out. My natural habitual instinct is to numb myself because I don’t have to see the pain and I don’t have to feel unworthy. I can just hibernate. But, you can’t do that when you have a baby. You absolutely cannot. Finding other ways of getting through those hard days can be difficult sometimes.”

So sad…

Our hearts go out to Kelly and to all of Liam’s loved ones as they continue to mourn his loss. Reactions? Let us know.
